Good article, cleared up some questions for me, but now I am stuck because the BB says it can't playback the iTunes files, which are "rights protected"! I paid for those songs, but apparently that doesn't give me the right to play them on my Blackberry, it just means that Apple has found another way to try and force me to buy their overpriced junk.

Honestly, I think Apple is worse than Microsoft in that they pretend to be warm and fuzzy while robbing you blind.

Thank you, I thought my computer was singing its death knell after I downloaded Roxio. Now I realize that it was just the stupid program. Roxio is going straight to the recycling bin when I get home.

Any thoughts on getting Audible content to play from the pearl's music player? Currently, it insists on being played through the Audible BB Player, which is clunky and pause-prone.

Thanks so much. I've been using Roxio for a while and after installing the latest Blackberry Pearl desktop application, Roxio keeps crapping out. I never even thought of drag and drop...

Have a Bold 9000 and it works the same for it.
However, I disagree with using iTunes. If I wanted iTunes I would have bought the iPhone. I'm trying to limit software and am tired of being told I need this new program or that new program to make something work, or worse, there is a whole new way to do something that always worked just fine in the past. Microsoft hasn't listened and lost my business wherever I can avoid them. I hope BlackBerry listens.

I think it's just a very poorly written program. Too much code to digest and that bogs down the computer. I love the new method of using Windows Explorer or as my wife found, transfering music using iTunes. Now, that's the absolute best method.

You can create a playlist within your Blackberry Pearl media player. If you click on Playlist and then on "New Playlist", you'll be asked to name the playlist.

Once you've named the playlist, you can click on the Blackberry button and you'll see "Add Songs".

I would do this and then see what it looks like in Windows Explorer.

HOpe that helps.

I get your point...but I can't figure out how to setup playlists like that...shoot I can't figure it out either way. I've gotten closest with creating playlists in iTunes and then dragging that to the Pearl in Media Manager, but I've not found a way to keep the music files synced as I add/delete other than manually.

Any ideas?
